Philosophy of our web site

In 1993 our laboratory established the first web site in cytometry. At the time we set up our web server, there were less than 1000 total web sites on the internet. Today (2001) there are over 1 billion. We moved to this medium because of our interest and dedication to the philosophy of sharing educational material. This has been a longterm goal of the Purdue University Cytometry Laboratories (PUCL). The importance and vitality of the Internet is now accepted by all.

New technologies rapidly become standard. There are now hundreds of web sites dedicated to the field of cytometry. Our own site has matured and changed with time. Regardless, the over-whelming emphasis is on sharing high quality information, establishing the electronic crossroad for cytometry and ensuring that we are constantly communicating with our fellow scientists.
