Responsible for the development of flow cytometry and imaging cytometry methods and generation of cellular biomeasures and biomarker data in support of therapeutic targets in the areas of oncology, inflammation and cardiovascular medicine from early discovery to Ph1 clinical trials. Provide expertise in flow cytometry and cell imaging technologies in matters such as phenotyping, activation markers, cell signaling, receptor internalization and occupancy. Experience in cell based assays, mechanistic pharmacology, target evaluation, target assessment, and translational biomarker is desirable. Candidate will participate with PDM teams and research units in a matrix environment. Should have proven experience in flow and cell imaging-based biomarkers in animal and clinical studies, and have strong knowledge of biological systems and cellular function to enable Pfizer discovery and development objectives.
Responsibilities
•The successful candidate will have experience developing partnerships in a matrix environment, influencing project strategies, and participate in technology development and implementation.
•Other responsibilities include independent planning of laboratory activities, understanding and influencing therapeutic area biomarker strategies to use biomarkers in scientific decision-making.
•Candidate will participate in all phases of FACs laboratory operations including technology evaluations, the protocol development, separation and detection methods, data analysis, interpretation, reporting and follow up discussions with the project teams on utilizing the data in appropriate decision making.
•Proactively gathers input from colleagues, teams & management to avoid/address issues at functional level and participates on cross discipline matrix teams
•Provide technical training/mentorship for FACs scientists

All applicants must have authorization to work for Pfizer in the U.S. In certain circumstances it may be advantageous to Pfizer to support the application(s) for temporary visa classification and/or sponsor applications for permanent residence so that a foreign national colleague can accept or remain in a work assignment in the U. S. For certain classes of temporary visas, the resulting work authorization may be specific to Pfizer and the specific job and/or work site. Pfizer may at its business discretion decide to or refrain from obtaining, maintaining and/or extending the temporary visa status and/or sponsoring a colleague for permanent residency and /or employment eligibility, considering factors such as availability of qualified U.S. workers and the colleague's long-term prospects for securing lawful permanent residence, among other reasons. Employment applicants requiring immigration sponsorship must disclose, when initial application for employment is made, whether or not they are legally authorized to work for Pfizer in the U.S. and, if so, whether that authorization permits them to work in the job they seek.
