GENERAL INFORMATION:

 

Job Title:

Manager, Flow Cytometry Reagent Business Development

Division/location:

SAI / Lincolnshire – Field Based

Department:

Reports To:

Manager, Commercial Operations, Flow Cytometry

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Manager, Flow Cytometry Reagent Business is responsible for accelerating sales and profit growth in the flow cytometry reagent marketplace.  

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1      Develop and continuously refine the SAI business development strategy for the flow cytometry reagents launch.

2      Work with Key Opinion Leaders to refine and optimize Sysmex reagent portfolio offerings.

3      Establish and lead cross-functional teams (Scientific Marketing) to establish beta sites and testing sites to evaluate / compare reagent offerings.

4      Lead adoption of Sysmex Cytometry Reagents with select industry thought leaders.

5      Establish the Sysmex brand in the Cytometry reagents fields through tradeshows, publications, and other activities.

6      Establish Sysmex Cytometry reagent brand at reagent purchasing / catalog websites

7      Collaborate with SAI Cytometry marketing counterparts to actively and properly position and market the product line.

8      Collaborate with other Sysmex Affiliates business development staff to provide input into developing a focused high impact set of market-specific partnerships to accelerate growth globally.

COMPETENCY

BASIC DESCRIPTION

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

 

Education/Knowledge Required

·       Undergraduate degree in biological science, or other technical or scientific area.  MBA or equivalent desirable.

·       10-15 years’ experience in U.S. marketing / business development or sales with experience in launching new products and establishing new businesses in the Flow Cytometry marketplace.  

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

 

 

 

 

    Other Qualifications

Experience in project management, product management, advertising & promotion, tradeshows, market research, vendor relationships and team leadership.

 

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

 

Language Skills:

 

English.  German is a plus

 

Computer Skills:

MS Office, including moderate to advanced PowerPoint and Excel

 

 

Other Skills/Abilities:

·       Solid oral and written communications skills, presentation and influencing skills, and the ablity to deal directly with professional and managerial level customers.

·       Ability to make business development recommendations based on well-balanced business rationale.

·       Ability to solve complex problems by bringing together the right people into a structured process.

·       Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
