Applications are invited for a full time experienced flow cytometrist to join our dynamic team at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in the Flow Cytometry and Imaging Core Facility. The successful applicant will report to the Flow Cytometry and Imaging Facility Manager and primarily be responsible for the operation of multiparameter flow cytometers, high speed cell sorters as well as assisting facility users with data acquisition and analysis. In addition the applicant will also be required to assist the QIMR senior microscopist with some imaging within the facility.  

This is a new position as the core facility is expanding and moving into new state of the art research facilities, where it will house seven flow cytometry analysers and three cell sorters , as well Confocal, multiphoton, and deconvolution microscopes. QIMR employs a critical mass of excellent researchers with over 50 research laboratories resulting in diverse applications within the facility.

The applicant requires a minimum of a BSc or equivalent with demonstrated ability in operation of multiparameter flow cytometry instruments. They must have ability to work independently, good verbal communication skills and ability to interact successfully with a broad range of individual within the institute.
