Position Summary:

 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Research Scientist in the Scher Lab, Director of the Colton Center for Autoimmunity in the Department of Medicine.

The Scher Lab investigates the crosstalk between host and the human microbiome as well as the role of immune cells and tissue cells in autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.  We are looking for an exceptional scientist to lead translational research studies in collaboration with the team of Dr. Shruti Naik in the department of Pathology and Dermatology, as well as with other members of the NYU Colton Center for Autoimmunity. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of leading researchers and clinicians to develop translational expertise, publish high-impact research, and devise novel interventions. 

Responsible for collaborating with Principal Investigators (PI) and working independently within the scientific framework of the PI’s laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a MS degree with at least 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Substantial experience from having completed Post Doc training. Established a record of publications

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
