Job Description

Translational Molecular Biomarkers is responsible for the development, validation, and analysis of biomarkers in clinical studies spanning all therapeutic areas and all phases of clinical development. The team is comprised of translational scientists utilizing multi-disciplinary technologies including Flow Cytometry, Molecular Pathology, Genomics, Immunochemistry, and Mass Spectroscopy to enable decisions on dose selection, patient selection, and program prioritization. The Flow Cytometry team is seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. level Principal Scientist with strong knowledge of immune cell biology and subject matter expertise in flow cytometry. The candidate should have a strong interest in applying this knowledge to Translational Sciences.

Individual Responsibilities Include:

·       Serve as subject matter expert in immune monitoring, flow cytometry assay development, and fit-for-purpose validation.

·       Interface and develop partnerships in a matrixed environment with discovery, translational, and clinical teams on the planning and execution of biomarker strategies.

·       Execute on the development and fit-for-purpose validation of flow cytometry assays internally and in coordination with CROs for biomarker services; oversee the quality of data generated.

·       Identify and evaluate novel flow cytometry technologies and data analysis platforms.

·       Write memos, final reports, and publications summarizing data and present findings to project teams and other internal stakeholders.

Required Education:

·       Ph.D. in a life sciences discipline with broad knowledge of biomarker science.

·       A minimum of 8 years of pharmaceutical or related experience.

Required Experience:

·       A minimum of 5 years of industry or related experience in flow cytometry.

·       Experience in Oncology and/or Immunology disease-related fields (desired).

·       Demonstrated expertise in complex flow cytometry assay design, experimentation, and data analysis.

·       Demonstrated strong record of scientific achievement (publications, patents, etc.)

·       Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

·       Be able to work independently; strong leadership skills.

·       Ability to execute within a matrixed organization.
