Position Summary:

Sony Biotechnology (www.sonybiotechnology.com) is seeking a Field Service Engineer to work with our flow cytometry team. Responsible for performing installations, preventive maintenance as well  as warranty and post-warranty repair services to customer equipment within the assigned service territory. This position reports to the Field Service Manager.

Primary Region: MA, RI, CT, NH,  VT, ME, Eastern  Canada

 

 

Responsibilities:

Schedule and perform territory service worksuch as installation and preventative maintenance on assignedinstrumentation.

 

Perform emergency repair visits in his/her territory. Is available to travel in order to help other field service representatives whenrequired

 

Communicate any product quality issues to the appropriateassociates

Interface and work closely with territory sales personnel and Field Applications Specialist personnel

Responsible for account management, ensuring a high degree of customersatisfaction

Obtain and communicates leads, identifying post instrument sales, upgrades, andaccessories

Maintain targeted and orderly inventory balance of service parts sufficient to support service requirements within assignedterritory

Keep abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own areaof work, and comply with  suchrequirements

 

 

Qualifications:

A minimumof 2 years’ experience in field service on medical diagnostic products or operatingflowcytometers

 

An associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or military technicaltraining

 

Strong analytical, problem-solvingskills

Strong customerfocus

Excellent communicator and great ability to buildrelationships

Highly organized with excellent follow upskills

Self-motivatedteam-player

Basic understanding of flow cytometry or related scientific disciplines isdesired

50% overnight travel isrequired.
