The Research and Development Department at ICON Laboratory Services in Farmingdale, New York, is seeking a detail oriented applicant with flow cytometry experience to conduct assay development and validation

projects.  

 

Flow Cytometry Research Associate

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 

Responsible for conducting experiments for development and validation of Flow Cytometric assays.  

 

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

-Perform assay development and research assignments in the lab. 

-Collaborate with the R&D team to present publications and marketing material. 

-Prepare reagents as needed, maintain quality control records, compile any required statistical data, and maintain the cleanliness of work areas. 

-Responsible for the performance of required manual procedures and

operation of automated instrumentation. 

-Write Standard Operating Procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

-Bachelors degree or equivalent in Science related field.

-More than 2 years laboratory experience.

-Experience in a clinical trials laboratory - preferred.

-Experience in Flow Cytometry and/or Immunoassays - preferred.

-Ability to lift 5-10 lbs.

 

NYS Medical Technologist License and/or American Society of Clinical Pathologists Certification - desirable.
