Research Scientist I at Bristol-Myers Squibb Department of Translational Research, Princeton, NJ. 

 

The Translational Research team at Bristol-Myers Squibb is focused on identifying biomarkers to monitor pharmacodynamic responses and to predict responses for our Oncology and Immunoscience assets. We are seeking a Research Scientist who will be responsible for designing and conducting phenotypic, molecular, and cell-based assays for the evaluation of disease pathophysiology and targets in the areas of immunology and oncology. The qualified candidate will contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of various in vitro, molecular, and phenotyping assays in support of translational research activities.

 

Qualifications:

 Scientist with a BS or MS in the areas of Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or a related field, with 2 or more years postgraduate working experience in either academia or industry. This position requires experience with functional human cell-based assays such as cell proliferation and differentiation, cytokine measurements, FACS, expression analysis by quantitative PCR, and cellular signaling using appropriate biochemical and pharmacological techniques. Advanced flow cytometry skills would also be an advantage. Previous pharmaceutical/biotech research experience and familiarity with translational research would be an advantage but not a requirement. The successful candidate will possess good oral and written communication skills. Flexibility and a willingness to work as a member of a larger, cross-functional team is desired.
