PUCL Job#1167 Flow Specialist II (posted Feb 23)

The Flow Cytometry Core at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, OH) is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Flow Cytometer Specialist II to assist with cell sorting and assay development.  This position will be responsible for maintaining and operating various analyzers) and sorters of the core, user instruction (FlowJo), data analysis, and record keeping. This position will also work closely with the Flow Cytometry Core’s Research Scientist to provide consultation to clinical and basic science researchers for experimental design/assay development. The Specialist II will also assist in the validation and execution of research SOPs for our service line.  Previous experience with PBMC processing, cell isolation from tissues, T cell and B cell multimer staining, intracellular cytokine staining, rare subset identification/phenotyping, ELISpot, or ELISA would be considered highly valuable for any applicant.  

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

 

1)    Baccalaureate degree with a major in Biology, Chemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology or equivalent.

2)    5 years of full time laboratory experience using Flow Cytometry

3)    Working knowledge of analysis software (FlowJo, DIVA, etc.)
