About the Single Cell Analysis Center at UCSF

The Single Cell Analysis Center offers state-of-the-art instrumentation in the area of Flow Cytometry, Mass Cytometry and Genomics to the entire UCSF research community, affiliated hospitals, research foundations, and local biotechnology companies. Within the Flow Cytometry platform the Center provides flow cytometers and the technical support needed to make use of these instruments through a educational training program and expert advice to UCSF students, staff, and faculty in cytometry technology and applications; develops new cytometric methods and applications; manages all operational aspects of the facility.

About the position

Responsibilities will include cell sorting (FACSAriaII-III, MoFlo XDP, SH800), user training (sorters, LSRII, LSRFortessa X20 and X50), operating a Mass Cytometer (CyTOF2/Helios), performing general maintenance, QC/QA and troubleshooting. You will also participate in research, development, and testing of new instruments, reagents, and techniques, as well as provide assistance and training to other research projects as needed.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to provide excellent customer service, work and collaborate within a team environment.

Experience in flow cytometry and cell sorting is preferred.

CCy or other comparable certification is preferred.
