An exciting opportunity exists for a technician to join the Newcastle University Flow Cytometry Core Facility (FCCF) in collaboration with the newly formed Newcastle University Single Cell Functional Genomics Unit (NUSCO). The FCCF supports cutting edge flow cytometry-based research within a range of disciplines including immunology, stem cell biology and rare human diseases. You will provide technical support across the full breadth of the FCCF cytometry service working directly with a spectrum of different internal and external clients.
A degree in a relevant biological subject or a HNC/HND is essential as is proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory environment. You will have experience of working under health and safety regulations, good computer knowledge, excellent communication & training skills and be able to organise your own work-load under guidance of core facility manager.
