Tyto Service Specialist

Your tasks

As a member of the Miltenyi Biotec Service Operation Team, you will be responsible to assist with the development of the service strategy, documentation and training program for the MACSQuant® Tyto platform.  After the product launch, you will use your in-depth knowledge and expert technical skills to visit customer sites to install, maintain and upgrade instruments and implement the training program for service staff members.  You will serve as the contact for MACSQuant® Tyto issues for other service engineers and the main conduit for communication between the US and Germany for the transfer of technical information.  As a result, you will enable the continued optimum instrument performance and success of our company as a whole.

Your profile

• You have a B.S. Degree in Engineering or a life sciences related program
• You hold a minimum of 5 years’ experience in biotech instrumentation and applications support, field service repair, or system level electrical/mechanical trouble shooting

• Your possession of a working knowledge of flow cytometry or cell sorting would be an added bonus, though not a requirement
• You are comfortable traveling 50-75% of the time
• You have a proven track record of strong technical writing skills
• You boast the ability to work well both independently and in close partnership with others

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license, evidence of insurance/insurability, and the ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted government accounts.
