Job Title: Cell Sorter Operator

Experience and Skill Requirements:

Sorting experience (highly preferable)

Organizational skills and detail-oriented

Project management experience a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Computing skills

The CSMC Flow cytometry core is seeking a full time flow cytometry operator to help operate and maintain the facility's sorter and analyzer machines which are employed on a multi-user basis, for projects in several areas, including immunology and stem cell research.

In addition, the successful candidate will also be responsible for training new users of the core, troubleshooting flow cytometer instrumentation and software issues, and providing instruction on data acquisition and analysis for the facility users. On occasion, the operator may also help core users with the development and implementation of new techniques/protocols. Previous experience in cell sorter operation and knowledge of FACS Diva flow cytometry software highly preferred.
