Medical Technologist – Flow Cytometry

Shift:  Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Will rotate call

Work Location:  University Health Care

Department:  Flow Cytometry

 

Salary Range:  $20.94 - $30.36

 

Job Summary: 

 

To perform and participate in specialized technical laboratory procedures of a difficult nature in one or more Pathology laboratory areas. Perform lab tests and procedures, with minimal supervision, on body fluids, tissues and specimens for diagnosis and treatment of patients with accuracy and precision according to the College of American Pathology (CAP) regulations for laboratory operations, quality control and safety. Set up, operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment.

 

Qualifications:

 

A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, or A Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health area of Concentration (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) plus registration as a Medical Technologist by the ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW/HHS, or A Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health area of Concentration (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) plus one year experience in a directly related laboratory setting is necessary.
