To add to their existing line of immune monitoring products, MBLI recently licensed the entire portfolio of MHC tetramer products from Beckman Coulter.
MBLI is seeking a Product Support Specialist to support technical services and customer support efforts in Europe. S/he will be responsible for several RUO products, with a focus on the MHC tetramer business, supporting customers particularly in Germany, The United Kingdom, France, and Switzerland. The ideal candidate for this field-based position will be located in the vicinity of Leuven, Belgium, the site of MBLI’s strategic partner, JSR, and should expect moderate (approximately 50%) travel.
The Product Support Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret technical FACS data generated internally or by customers
Carry out formal presentations highlighting MBLI tools, applications, and technology at key scientific conferences and symposia
Present internal training sessions and technical seminars
Support MBLI Sales/Marketing teams and assist in technical sales
Work with MBLI’s European distributors to develop professional relationships with key customers, helping to facilitate sales, applications support, and opportunities for collaboration.
Work with customers to troubleshoot and optimize assays, particularly multi-parametric flow cytometry applications
Act as customer-MBLI liaison, communicating customer feedback, new product ideas, and applications suggestions to MBLI’s Research and Development team
Work closely with MBLI’s Senior Product Manager, MHC Tetramer Business and technical support team in the USA
The Product Support Specialist should possess the following qualifications:
PhD in Immunology, biochemistry, or equivalent required
Field experience in technical sales or support preferred
Proven expertise in molecular and cellular immunology
Extensive flow cytometry research experience and comprehensive knowledge of flow data analysis, including a working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. FlowJo, Kaluza, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) for communicating with international customers and colleagues
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Passion for science and medicine, outgoing personality, and self-starting attitude
This position will involve an initial 2 – 4 week training period in the USA and Japan.
