Product Manager Flow Sorting
Your tasks
As a Product Manager for Flow Sorting, you will have the exciting opportunity to manage a capital equipment portfolio of flow sorters, consumables, and associated reagents. You will work closely with R&D to drive the product development process and help design the next generation of flow sorting instruments. Working directly with multiple internal departments such as Production, QA/QC, eMarketing, MarComm, and Sales, you will be responsible for all aspects of the portfolio — including new product development, product launch plans and execution, pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies. You will interact directly with customers and KOLs to build KOL relationships and perform VOC interviews, in order to build strong understandings of market needs and establish champions.
Working together with Marketing Communications and eMarketing, you will develop promotional material including catalogs, website content, product literature, direct mail, and advertising. You will drive strategic plans and work closely with R&D and Production to drive the development of new instruments and ensure launch targets are met. Providing product specifications and reviewing product descriptions, technical specifications, and labels are also your responsibility. You will instruct our Sales force with respect to positioning, sales tactics, competitive comparisons, product features and benefits – and provide product training materials for our Sales force and local marketing organization. In addition, you will evaluate pricing against competition, and solicit and support opportunities for large-scale and customized business.
Your profile
- You have a Master’s or PhD degree in life sciences; an additional business degree is a plus
- You have flow cytometry experience, and extensive experience using a flow sorter
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years of sales or marketing experience, preferably in the life sciences market
- You have experience with product development and launch execution of capital equipment instrumentation
- You are fluent in English; a basic knowledge of German is a plus
- Your exceptional organizational skills enable you to manage multiple projects at once
