
Job Title: Flow Cytometry Instructor
Number of openings: 3 openings with Taleo requisition numbers OTH101A4, OTH101A8, OTH101A9
Location: San Jose, CA
Responsible for conducting technical training courses for BD Biosciences, Cell Analysis external and internal customers. Provides training at the BD training center, virtually online, or at the client's site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers classroom lectures, conducts laboratory training sessions, administers examinations, and prepares student evaluations as described in lesson plans.
- Prepares lesson plans, laboratory exercises, training guides, and other course materials to support delivery of training.
- Follows up to determine applicability of course material and modifies training programs as appropriate.
- Assists with developing customer training programs for new and existing products.
Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of 1 year of flow cytometry experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
- A high school/GED is required, but a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Advanced degree in a scientific or education discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience delivering technical material is preferred.
- Prior experience developing a technical training curriculum is preferred.
