PUCL Job#1001 -Flow Technician - Lisbon, Portugal

The Flow Cytometry Unit at the Institute of Molecular Medicine in Lisbon is recruiting a technician to join its team.

Job responsibilities:

-Support and technical advice on flow  cytometry to researchers
-Training in the use of cytometers and acquisition and cytometric
analysis to researchers
-Operation and maintenance of flow cytometers
-Purification of cell populations by flow  cytometry (cell sorting)
-Ensure quality control of flow cytometers
-Management of data backups

Candidate Profile
-Degree in Biological Sciences or related
-Preferential conditions in order of relevance:
-Previous experience and autonomy in flow  cytometry using 6 and more colors
-Cell Separation by flow  cytometry (Cell Sorting)
-Flow  cytometry data analysis and interpretation
-Ability and motivation for handling flow  cytometers
-Ability to use computers (Mac and PC).
-Good team work capabilities
-Good communication skills and interaction in an environment with
multiple users
-Availability to work at flexible hours
-Knowledge of spoken and written English
