Job Responsibilities/Department Description:  

Work as part of a team that provides patient testing to support Genzyme's ongoing clinical trials and post-market commitments. The position will involve performing Cell Culture, Luciferace Reporter Assays, ELISPOT, PBMC isolation by Ficoll, and Immunophenotyping with multi-color staining by Flow Cytometry following established procedures. Other responsibilities include assisting with general lab support duties, media and reagent preparation, instrument maintenance, tabulating data, quality control activities and updating standard operating procedures. The candidate will work in a dynamic, fast-paced, CLIA certified laboratory which will require the capability of working with minimal supervision, planning and prioritizing assignments to meet timelines while remaining organized.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years relevant laboratory experience or Master's degree in Science with at least 1 year of relevant clinical/research experience in cellular biology and flow cytometry.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience with multi-color immunophenotyping, a working knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel, FlowJo, Filemaker Pro and Diva software is preferable. Previous experience in a Clinical laboratory with ASCP(MT) or certification desirable.
