The University of Toledo Medical Center has an opening for a full-time, 40 hour per week Flow Cytometry Supervisor. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and participate in the daily operation of the Flow Cytometry Laboratory including sample preparation, instrument operation and maintenance, data analysis and interpretation, result reporting, quality assurance, workload scheduling and monitoring, clinical R&D, ordering and maintenance of laboratory supplies and various other administrative duties. Reports to laboratory director.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Science from accredited institution required.
- Graduate courses or ASCP certification/qualification required.
- Minimum of five years experience in flow cytometry required.
- Extensive experience in use and operation of IBM PC's required.
- Excellent telephone skills required for communication with all members of the medical staff.
- Advanced degree preferred.
