Applications Specialist – Flow Cytometry

This position will focus on the Reflection® and Synergy® cell sorting systems and the Eclipse® cell analyzer for iCyt Mission Technology, Inc., a Sony Group Company in Champaign, IL.  The candidate will need to relocate to Champaign, Illinois.

Main Responsibilities:

* On-site as well as remote technical support of iCyt instrumentation including

  fielding and solving application and operation issues as well as some service issues.

* On site as well as remote customer training.

* Operator manual content creation and editing.

* Participation in design review teams for new products and components.

* Travel approximately 50% of the time.
 

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of a Bachelors degree in biological science, physical science or engineering.

* Must be comfortable using computers, productivity software and flow cytometry

  analysis software.

* Must be able to work independent of others, be self-motivated and well organized.

* Effective verbal and written skills.

* Experience operating flow cytometry analyzers and sorters and designing flow cytometry based experiments.

*Technical aptitude to be able to diagnose and address biological and flow cytometer operation issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience teaching basic flow cytometry theory and flow cytometer operation.

* Experience using WinList® software.
