The Department of Microbiology & Immunology in conjunction with the Hollings Cancer Center (HCC) of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites application for Research Assistant Professor and Flow Cytometry Shared Resource Operations Manager.  HCC is a NCI designated cancer center with a strong commitment to fundamental and translational research in the areas of gene/drug discovery, lipid signaling, cancer immunology, and cancer prevention/control. The successful candidates should hold a MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent with a proven track record of hands-on cell sorting and flow cytometry experience.  In addition, the ideal candidate shall be a highly experienced person with outstanding leadership abilities and supervisory experience who will direct all aspects of the operation of this shared resource, in consultation with a Scientific Director and/or faculty advisors. Candidates who are interested in a joint research track faculty position must also demonstrate scientific productivity in cellular immunology or other aspects of research that is highly dependent on flow cytometry.
