UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside is hiring a full-time Laboratory Supervisor for their Special Hematology Laboratories at the UPMC Presbyterian campus in Oakland.  This position will manage the daily operations of a large state of the art flow cytometry laboratory and a busy bone marrow service.  The person will work closely with hematopathology medical leadership and report to the Administrative Director of Laboratories.  The position will provide technical expertise and leadership, ensure excellent customer satisfaction, drive quality improvement initiatives and manage new test development while  overseeing an expert staff of mixed professionals.

A B.S. degree from an accredited college or university (with a major in biological or clinical laboratory science), along with 3-5 years of experience in a clinical flow cytometry laboratory demonstrating progressive responsibility and leadership are required.  Previous experience in a hematology laboratory  is preferred.  Specialty certification in a relevant discipline is a plus.
