Research Associate/Medical Technologist

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Responsible for conducting experiments for development and validation of new flow cytometric assays. 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform research assignments in the lab.

Collaborate with the R&D team to present publications and marketing material.

Prepare reagents as needed, maintain quality control records, compile any required statistical data, and maintain the cleanliness of work areas.

Responsible for the performance of required manual procedures and operation of automated instrumentation.

Write Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or Science.

More than 2 years laboratory experience.

Experience in a clinical trials laboratory – preferred.

Experience in Flow Cytometry and/or Immunoassays preferred.

Ability to lift 5-10 lbs.

NYS Medical Technologist License required.

ASCP certification preferred.
