Summary
Individual will perform cell sorting for facility users and daily operations of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Will perform routine cell sorts for facility users
- Will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of two BD FACSCaliburs, one with BD HTS, BD SORP LSRII, BD FACSAria SORP, and Miltenyi Biotech AutoMACS PRO
- Will be responsible for general maintenance of the flow lab, including ordering supplies and billing
- Will interact with vendors and field service engineers as necessary
- Other tasks as required or assigned
Qualifications
- B.S in biological or physical sciences required
- 1 - 2 years of flow cytometry experience preferred
- Cell sorting experience is preferred but not required (training will be provided)
- Experience with BD instruments, PC and MAC platforms, and flow cytometry acquisition and analysis software preferred
- Must have strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and with a diverse group of people in a service oriented environment required
- Ability to work flexible hours
