If you look at the flow karyotype from a bunch of different individuals you'll find
some will have chomosomes normally in the 9-12 cluster that separate. I dont know
whether they abnormal or just reflect normal variation. It will probably be just one
homolog of one of the chromosomes but you should be able to separate it. Its pretty
easy to make PHA stimulated whole blood preps to screen individuals then perhaps make
EBV transformed lines of useful ones.

Quick Question for those who have done some human chromosome sorting...

Is it possible to separate human chromosome 9 from 10-12? In looking at
papers with the normal Chromomycin A3 versus Hoechst bivariate histogram,
and it always shows a 9-12 cluster. If anyone has discovered another
way(other dyes, reagents, etc...) to separate these, i'd love to know.

Thanks,
Ryan
