Hi Everyone Can anyone fill me in on the identity of a cell population that I have seen recently in 2 patients with myeloproliferative disorders. The first patient was a chronic phase CML, the bone marrow of which displayed a CD45+dim (slightly less than lymphocytes), intermediate side scatter (less than monocytes) population on CD45/Log SS analysis. This population represented approximately 3% of all histogram events. The phenotype was CD13+ CD33+ CD11b+ CD15- CD14- CD34- CD117-. The second patient (primary thrombocythemia) bone marrow displayed a similarly positioned numerically smaller population comprising 1% of all histogram events. This patient was not extensively phenotyped, but again this population was CD13+ CD34-. Has anyone seen these populations previously in their analysis. Do they represent a mature or immature myeloid population? Your responses would be appreciated. Thankyou.
