The LSR-II is cheaper. The 4 laser 10 color system is around $250K, a
similarly equipped Moflo is $500K or more.

However, the LSR doesn't sort (and hopefully never will), which is a
big part of the reason for the price differential.

Theoretically, by it's design, the LSR should have greater
measurement sensitivity than the MoFlo, or any jet-in-air sorter.
However, there could be design implementation limitations of the LSR.
which would lessen this advantage. I have not yet seen an evaluation
of the LSR's optics system which would answer this.
