My good fellow, Zip, has proposed a forum for core managers. He has even
managed to procure some computer resources. (Good goin' Zip!)

So, should the forum be another mailing list? We certainly wouldn't want
to bother the good readers of cytometry with our whines and gripes.

How about monthly (?) meetings on BioMOO? I hear it is a good place to
have interactive electronic meetings. It might get a bit confusing, though,
if we have the same turnout as we did for ISAC. I've only been to BioMOO
once, so I can't comment too much. Anyone wishing to try it out, just
telnet to bioinfo.weizmann.ac.il 8888. (The 8888 is the port number. Telnet
uses port 23 as the default. Depending on your telnet software, you may have
to use either a comma or space between the address and the port number; or,
if you have a GUI (Graphical User Interface), there may be a dialog item for
you to specify the port number separate from the address.)

What other forms could the forum take? A Usenet newsgroup? (I personally
prefer a mailing list, for fear of losing information.) Some sort of
internet BBS (Bulletin Board System)? (Again, a mailing list would be
better, for a number of reasons). Maybe a Gopher server, so we can
exchange data/graphics files, too. (Of course, the ftp and WWW servers
already support file exchange.) Any other ideas?
