>Has anyone been able to increase the sensitivity of the FACSCalibur's FL-1 >detector (530 nm, FITC) by using, for example, a different PMT or >filters/dichroics in the light path? Thanks. Yes. Before I left Stanford replaced the PMT with R3896 and the filter with an HQ525/50 from Chroma. The PMT replacement was easy. The filter replacement required prying off the old filter which was glued in, and carefully gluing in the new one. I do not recall the exact increase in sensitivity, but it was noticeable.
