Associate Scientist - Molecular & Investigative Toxicology
The successful candidate will develop and validate key in vitro
toxicological assays relevant to current and projected needs in Drug Safety
Evaluation. The candidate will work closely with other scientists in the
department requiring flow cytometric capabilities and be responsible for
maintaining a functional working laboratory. The candidate will be
responsible for analyzing and summarizing experimental data.
This position requires a BS degree with extensive experience in the
operation of the bench top flow cytometer, tissue culture and assay
development. A general knowledge of biology, biochemistry and cell biology
is required. Computer skills are also required.
Qualifications that will bolster your success include:
· Experience running a high speed cell sorter, protocol development
and data analysis
· Verbal and written communication skills as well as good
interpersonal skills
· Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems
associated with flow cytometric equipment
· Experience with fluorescent microscopy
· Computer skills including CellQuest, MS Word and Excel
· Previous work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
· Strong academic achievements
· MS degree or completion of graduate courses
