problems with red diod laser-FACS Calibur

Dear flowers,
We are having problems with our red laser on FACS Calibur. It turns
off suddenly. Some samples, even within a series of tubes measured
with the same instrument setting, are measured without any signal in
the 4th fluorescence.

Most annoying of this was our today's finding that it happens even
during one measurement. Thus, we get data that look technically OK
(there are some cells positive in all 4 colors) but according to the
percentage, the number of 4th color-positive cells is low. This is
caused by a stretch of events in channel 1.

If anyone has experienced this problem, I will appreciate your help.

Ondrej
