Hi David, We use commercial "sterile water for irrigation USP" (the current batch is in 1 litre bottles from Baxter). It's expensive but not too bad if you buy it in bulk and negotiate a discount. Also it's definitely pyrogen free - we tested it in a previous lab - and, er, sterile.
