Dilution of whole blood

Dear Flow-ers,
I mainly uses the cytometry for immunophenotyping of whole blood or bone
marrow samples for haematological diseases identification (e.g.
leukaemia, CLPD). Before the staining of blood with clones, I will
adjust the cell concentration to a desirable count. I currently use the
self-prepared pH 7.4 PBS with 10% albumin for dilution.
1. Does anyone use other type of dilutent?
2. Do interferences occur if the dilutent contains preservative e.g.
Coulter IsoFlow?
Please suggest some ideas on these.

Best Regards,
