Hello. I was wondering if somebody could offer some advice. I'm immunophenotyping mouse cells on the basis of surface antigen expression eg: CD3, CD8, CD4, NK1.1 etc. after treatment with different reagents. I've been successful with T and B cell antigens, but not yet with NK1.1. My antibody, anti-mouse NK1.1-PE monoclonal, from PharMingen has been tested on different mouse cell populations (spleen cells, peritoneal cells, bone marrow cells etc.) - the results have all been negative. I was wondering if BALB/c and QS mice express NK1.1+ cells and how I might develop an inexpensive positive control, using cells from either of these two strains. Thankyou. jason. As a footnote, there is a question about the "health" of my antibody. It may have suffered from heat exposure, when the coolroom failed last summer.
