Dear Flow-ers
We (Rafael and Claudia) would like to perform some apoptosis assays in
cells that have been stably transfected with an inmediate early gene from
Bovine herpes that is under the control of the tetracyclin operon.
Therefore, we would like to get more information about how reliable are the
uptake of "Hoechst 33258 and 33342" and "7-AAD" for apoptosis, a few days
ago similar question was asked "Who has expeience using Hoechst uptake as
an indicator of apoptosis?". At the moment, the comments from Miller and
Shapiro seems a little bit controversial, is it not?. We are doing our
homework but your comments will be very much appreciated.
Thank you for the help.
Rafael Nunez MD.
