Standard...AgainIn 1993, the COULTER EPICS XL/XL-MCL System forever changed the science of flow cytometry. For the first time, a fully integrated bench-top system provided scientists with reliable walkaway automation, single laser 4-color capability and an extensive array of routine and advanced applications. This unique system redefined the standards of flow cytometric analysis. In the first three years since its introduction, more XL's were delivered to laboratories worldwide than any other flow cytometry system; establishing the XL as the most in-demand system to date.

Setting The Standard...
4-Color Analysis From A Single LaserThe EPICS XL is the first and only single laser flow cytometry system capable of analyzing fluorescence emissions in four wavelength regions.
This was made possible through superior fluorochrome technology, simplified optical design and the XL's unique digital compensation matrix. In addition, the highly accurate digital log transformation incorporated into the XL's transputer circuitry assures users of absolute signal purity and ultra-linear response in multicolor analysis.
The single laser design of the XL, which uses four distinct fluorescence detectors, eliminates concerns regarding multi-beam stability and delicate signal delay adjustments.
