COULTER CD95-RD1

COULTER™ CD95-RD1

CD95, also known as the Fas antigen, can trigger apoptosis or programmed cell death. This antigen is found on 80-90% of activated T cells, B cells and a majority of activated NK cells. COULTER CD95-RD1 is a ready-to-use, liquid antibody for fundamental research and is not for clinical diagnostic use.

Light Scatter Histogram (CD95-RD1)

cd95-LS Histogram

The light scatter pattern of lysed whole blood cellular populations is readily discernable on
a FS vs. LSS dot density histogram. A gating region is set around the lymphocyte population.

Log Fluorescence Histogram (CD95-RD1)

cd95-LF Histogram

Single parameter histogram of a lysed whole blood sample stained with CD95-RD1 and gated on the lymphocyte region. The analysis region is based on an isotypic control.

Molecular Orientation

cd95-Molecule

CD95 or Fas antigen is a 48 kD transmembrane glycoprotein which contains 3 cysteine-rich repeats. There is some homology in the cytoplasmic sequence between CD95 and TNF-R1 (CD120a).

Cell Type

cd95-Cell type

CD95 antigen is expressed on a variety of cells, primarily activated T & NK cells. It is not found on erythrocytes or platelets.

COULTER (TM)
CD95-RD1

Specificity

CD95 is found on the surface of 30-40% of resting T cells, B cells, 5% of NK cells and thymocytes. Activated NK cells and 80-90% of activated T cells express CD95. It is not found on platelets or erythrocytes, but is expressed variably on granulocytes and a subset of monocytes. It is a member of the nerve growth factor receptor/tumor necrosis factor receptor (NGFR/TNFR) superfamily.
