COULTER CD31-RD1

COULTER™ CD31-RD1

CD31 antigen is known as the Platelet Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule-1 (PECAM-1). The CD31 antigen moderates monocyte, platelet and endothelial cell adhesion. This glycoprotein is involved in the transendothelial migration of leukocytes in inflammation. COULTER CD31-RD1 is a ready to use, liquid antibody for fundamental research and is not for clinical diagnostic use.

Light Scatter Histogram (CD31-RD1)

cd31-LS Histogram

The light scatter pattern of lysed whole blood cellular populations is readily discernable on a FS vs. LSS dot density histogram. A gating region is set around the lymphocyte population.

Log Fluorescence Histogram (CD31-RD1)

cd31-LF Histogram

Single parameter histogram of a lysed whole blood sample stained with CD31-RD1 and gated on the lymphocyte region. The analysis region is based on an isotypic control.

Molecular Orientation

cd31-Molecule

CD31 antigen is a member of the Ig
superfamily. It is a single chain, membrane
glycoprotein with a molecular weight
of 140 kD.

Cell Type

cd31-Cell type

CD31 antigen is expressed on a broad range of hematopoetic and nonhematopoetic cells. It is not expressed on erythrocytes.

COULTER (TM)
CD31-RD1

Specificity

CD31 is expressed as an endothelial cell junction molecule. This antigen is found on the majority of monocytes, platelets, and granulocytes. CD31 is preferentially expressed on the CD45RA+ population of CD4+ cells. This vascular cell adhesion molecule is capable of multiple ligand interactions.
