COULTER INDEX DNA Controls

COULTER™ INDEX DNA Controls

Coulter introduces INDEX, the first assayed control for DNA analysis by flow cytometry. INDEX is a unique set of normal and abnormal human cells for daily verification of sample staining, instrument performance, and software analysis. Included is a complete assay as well as free participation in Coulter's Interlaboratory Quality Assurance Program (IQAP). INDEX is available for fundamental research only and is not for clinical diagnostic use.

INDEX Normal Control Histogram
DNA - Normal Control

Normal Control consists of non-cycling diploid cells

INDEX Abnormal Control Histogram
DNA - Abnormal Control

Abnormal Control consists of a mixture of diploid and cycling aneuploid cells.

The First DNA Control

Coulter introduces a unique set of controls - the first for DNA content analysis by flow cytometry. Both the Normal (diploid DNA) and Abnormal Controls (diploid + aneuploid DNA) are manufactured exclusively from human cells for a closer resemblance to your laboratory's actual DNA samples.

True Process Control

INDEX provides you with a true process control which helps you qualify your DNA staining reagents and method, the performance of your flow cytometer (including optics, fluidics, and gating) and your cell cycle analysis software.

Free QA Program

As a user of INDEX Controls, you will have free participation in Coulter's Interlaboratory Quality Assurance Program (IQAP). This program lets you compare your individual results to a broad base of users from around the world on a regular basis, further increasing your confidence in your DNA analysis results.

Compatible with Most Systems

INDEX DNA Controls have been tested on a wide variety of laser-based flow cytomers, manual and automated staining methods, and DNA software programs to help you standardize your particular system.

Complete with Assay Values
DNA - Assay Values

Each lot of reagents is assayed in order to provide you with a full range of DNA analysis values including: CV's, DNA index, G2/G1 ratio, cell cycle percentages, and B.A.D. (background, aggregates, and debris). An assayed control also helps you in the education of new laboratory personnel, in system troubleshooting, and in making lab-to-lab comparisons.

Coulter's Complete DNA System

DNA - System

Coulter, the premier supplier of hematology and flow cytometry systems now offers you an expanded system for DNA content analysis: The EPICS XL Flow Cytometer, the Coulter® DNA-Prep Workstation and Reagent, MULTICYCLE DNA Analysis Software, and INDEX - the first assayed control for DNA analysis.

Convenient Size and Stability

Whether your flow cytometry laboratory performs DNA analysis on a dialy basis or once per week, the small kit size (10 tests per kit) and months of stability will make your use of INDEX convenient and economical.
