Hello all,

I've been talking with lots of cytometry people in the Boston area
and people have expressed interest in seeing a Boston regional users
group started. I figure this is as good a time as any to start the process
, so I'm sending this out with some initial ideas as to the format of
such a group. This is mainly for the New Englanders out there, others may
provide input if interested, otherwise I'm sorry to clutter your mailbox.

The format I've been kicking around is one where we get together 4-6 times
a year somewhere in Boston or suburbs, at a restaurant or function room on
a weeknight evening, have dinner, and then a talk, followed by discussion
and cocktails (of course!).

Initially I need to set up a mialing list of users in the area. Also,
folks in NH or western Mass. could be included, if you don't think its
to far to travel.

Could people in the New England area get back to me with any comments,
if you want in on this, and could you pass this message along to people
not on Internet- I'd appreciate it! I do have a mailing list of users in
the area, but I'd like to see how many folks I can contact on email first,
since I'll have to buy all the stamps for the first mailing.

Please reply directly to me , so we don't clutter the forum, unless
your reply might be useful for other user groups. Oh, for those not on
Internet, if you could drop me a line, or just call me to say-"I'm
interested!" that would be great.

Thanks again!

Peter Lopez
