A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Radiological
Sciences at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center to study
the role of the nuclear matrix in radiation-induced and heat-induced
cell killing and DNA repair in cultured mammalian cells. Current
research includes characterization of modulation or modification of
specific nuclear matrix proteins after irradiation, heat-shock or
during apoptosis, characterization of stuctural changes in the nuclear
matrix, and the development of novel techniques for studying DNA
damage and repair at the single cell level using flow
cytometry/confocal microscopy. A recent Ph. D. in a relevant
discipline and experience in biochemistry and molecular biology is
required. Experience in flow cytometry and confocal microscopy is
