using c-kit ligand we have seen that in normal blood as well as in
patients with hematological disease (acute leukaemia's after
chemotherapy had been applied and
the patient is in clinical remission) a small CD16+/ CD117+/
CD15negative cell popluation could be detected. In the case of patients
after cheomtherapy this
population is enhanced !!
These cells are lying within the granulocyte population and are CD34
negative! c-kit ligand expression is strong !
We have seen this phenomena in 10 cases of normals and abnormals and the
scatter characteristics are reproducible. All patients investigated had
no evidence for diffuse bone marrow infiltration after treatment.
Did have anyone of you comparable results or an explanation for these
findings.
Thank you very much in advance,
