PE beads

Help again please!
Does anyone out there use calibration beads conjugated with defined amounts of
PE? Any thoughts about their stability and about the lot to lot variation? My
own instincts are that PE is not a fluorochrome on which one would want to base
any standardization or calibration procedures.....
Thanks again.
