Dear colleagues,

AN INVITATION TO CONTRIBUTE TO A REVIEW

I want to write a comprehensive review of methods which have been published,
offered or sold, for use by any Flow Cytometer, FCM, in the enumeration of the
numbers of cellular surface markers, antigens or receptors, on whole cells
which are the either the sole components of a single cell suspension, or which
form an otherwise definable subset of the mixture of cells in a suspension. I
intend to include an emphasis on clinical applications.

The review will cover methods wherein the FCM alone can report the numbers of
identical molecular structures on the cell surface, or interior. Independent
verification by other means would be a desirable feature.

Clinically significant findings where antigen density or absolute number was
relevant will be included, even where the method was not innovative.

I am well qualified to write this review, having written a number of papers on
the subject with Ron Chatelier, in the mid 1980s.

So if you have published in this area, or are interested in what I'm attempting
to do, please let me know, by sending information to me, including the original
publications.

PLEASE SEND CORRESPONDANCE LONGER THAN ONE PAGE, BY SNAIL-MAIL OR FAX.

Address is Certain Cell Sorting P/L, PO Box 207, Black RockVic 3193. Australia.

My fax is 61 3 9521 0841 (Oz is going to 8 digit tele #s).

Email me if you have problems with the fax, or for a hoot, leave a page message
on 61 3 9625 3692.

Thanks in anticipation, Bob Ashcroft.
