Dear Flowers,

I was told to be a bit more specific about the applications we would
like to run with the Ar+ laser. We have a MoFlo Sorter and we would like
to operate the Ar+ laser mostly at UV - minimum 100 mW output
(multiline) for Hoechst33342 excitation. Mostly means we want to have
the option open to run it in the visible range as well (i.e. 488nm,
514nm for SybrGreen, SyPro). We have already an Coherent Innova 90 with
6 W total visible output, which gives also perfectly 100 mW UV
multiline. The question is, if a SpectraPhysics laser from the
"stabilite"- series has a similar perfomance in terms of beam diameter,
stability, maintentance, tube lifetime etc. As mentioned before the
price for the Spectra laser is remarkably cheaper than the Coherent
Innova 90.
Many thanks in advance
Bernhard
