Dear Bernhard, I would first ask the question, what is the nominal operating power you will use and what primary wavelength will you use and for what dyes you want to excite with it. If you are not planning on UV, I would suggest diode lasers. You did not mention what the use of the laser would be for and I believe that is important to understand how the group can offer you information on the correct laser for the job. Also, what cytometer will you put it on and in what location 1st, 2nd, 3rd laser path etc. Please let us know more about what you would like to use the laser for and I am sure we can bombard you with answers to your question...
