[Preparation and holding time limits?]

Dear All
We have recently been trained in flowcytometry and are using the EPICS
XL from Beckman Coulter.
According to the protocol the sample collected for CD4/CD8 analysis
should be stained within 6 hours and is good for upto 24 hours after
preparation. If for some reason they cannot be analysed within 24 hours
how reliable will be the results according to your experience. And if
the sample collected in EDTA was not prepared within the 6 hours what
is the time span upto which it can be prepared and the CD4 integrity
would still be maintained.
Do hope to hear some answers soon.
Thanking you sincerely
Namrata Sippy
