Recently I took the main flow position at St. Joseph's in Atlanta. We are now trying to get the department back up to CAP Standards. With that said there are a few questions we have and are wondering how other labs are dealing with these CAP Standards. 1. Interested in what is made up in T&B panels and what your protocol is when you get cells that are CD3-/CD4+ or CD3-/CD8+. We would also like to know if you use CD56 or CD16 for NK cells? 2. What are your specimen requirements for T&B panels, Leukemia's and Lymphoma's? Has anyone looked into using yellow tops for collection of specimens for Flow? 3. What is used for positive controls for abnormal antibodies such as CD38, CD138, CD56 etc......? If patient samples are use what is your method of storage? 4. We are also looking into redoing our Leukemia and Lymphoma panel. If you could, can you please fax or email your protocol and antibodies that you run in those panels. I want to thank everyone now for any help that they maybe able to offer. Thanks! Sara Markestad Flow Cytometery St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta Fax # - (404) 851-7831 Phone # (404) 851-7744
